A Wonderful Sound
Many people still think it is impossible, but an Arcus bow draws a more beautiful sound than any wooden bow. Clearer and stronger, richer in overtones and colours, subtle and powerful. The hollow sticks, made from high density pure carbon fiber give them a resonance quality that was never achieved before.

The Veloce bow is used by students and amateurs and has a warm round sound. It is a little heavier at approx 55 gms than the professional line of Arcus bows, with a weight midway between an Arcus professional bow and a traditional wood bow. The Veloce bows have nickel silver mountings and a piratinera frog. All Arcus bows are made by hand in Austria.
Arcus design and make carbon fibre bows that not only give exceptional comfort and purity of sound, but also to avoid hand and arm fatigue and pain.
Arcus found that most traditional bows had the same basic resonance as the human hand and arm and these low non-musical vibrations were responsible for, at best tiredessness in the bowing arm, and at worst inflammation over time. Arcus designed their bows to eliminate these non-musical vibrations.Many players report a more relaxed playing style and the ability to play comfortably for longer with an Arcus bow.
Arcus make several different models for each instrument. Each carbon fibre bow stick is selected to become one of the models based on its resonance characteristics.
