The DSP-E580 is a convenient way to add the benefits of CINEMA DSP to an existing system. This is designed to be used between your present preamp and amp providing 3 channels of amplification(center, rear left and rear right). Each channel delivers 25 watts of power which is more then enough for center and surround speakers. The DSP-E580 includes 12 CINEMA DSP and 4 Hi-fi DSP programs all selectable from the wireless remote control. The CINEMA DSP programs are 70mm Theater 1and 2, Dolby Pro Logic and Dolby Pro Logic/Enhanced, Concert Video, Opera, Animation, Classic film, TV Theater, TV Sports, Game and Karaoke. The Hi-fi DSP programs are Concert Hall, Rock Concert, Jazz Club and Church. The programs have been specifically created to produce the optimim sound field to match the characteristics of each type of sound. I have the owners manual and remote control. This also uses on screen display to help set all the parameters. A 3-D graphic image is provided in the speaker TEST mode for easy system set up.
