One of the best-known musicians in the southwest has released a long awaited compact disc that's sure to create even more buzz about this in-demand pianist, conductor, arranger, and composer. "In A Sentimental Mood" is a fluid jazz recording that appeals to a wide range of listeners, from jazz aficionados to those who simply love piano music. Arranged and performed by Lisa LeMay, the solo piano recording includes familiar tunes, such as the title cut and her richly lyric and passionate rendition of All The Things You Are. The disc includes less familiar fare, such as Bloodcount, by jazz great Billy Strayhorn. Also on board are two self-penned originals delivered with tender-hearted finesse and clarity. LeMay's devotion to classic melody and harmonic form is evident in this rhapsodic nod to the American Popular Songbook. The listener embarks on a rewarding ride.

About the Artist
Lisa LeMay (Music Director/Conductor/Pianist) has played keyboards for Will Rogers’ Follies, Sound of Music, The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm, Swinging on a Star-The Johnny Burke Musical, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in regional and touring productions. Internationally, she has been featured in such notable concert halls as the Sydney Opera House, St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, and Boston Symphony Hall. An accomplished jazz pianist, Miss LeMay has appeared at numerous jazz festivals including those in Mammoth Lakes, Sacramento and Scottsdale and has performed with, among others, Dizzy Gillespie, Carla Bley, and former Tonight Show Bandleader, Tommy Newsome. She has arranged music for the Tucson Symphony, Tucson Pops Orchestra and recently, for Henry Cuesta and Ralna English who appeared in this year’s "A Welk Musical Christmas." A resident of Southern California, she has performed at the Old Globe Theatre, Coronado Playhouse and Welk Resort Theater. Miss LeMay is honored to again participate in this year’s S.T.A.G.E. LA benefit at the Luckman Theater in Los Angeles. She is a voting member of NARAS, (Grammys) and is affiliated with BMI as a composer.
