Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
The CV4 is Miktek’s flagship condenser. It is a large-diaphragm, multipattern mic built around a NOS Telefunken EF800 tube and AMI’s BT4 output transformer.
Miktek CV4The capsule is a K67 derivative, built in China to Miktek’s specifications. It is electrically similar to Neumann’s K67/K870, in that the spacer between the backplates is conductive, and the two backplates share a single output wire.
The diaphragm diameter is 25mm. The twin diaphragms are made of 4-micron Mylar and are center-terminated.
The mics are assembled and tested in Nashville using components from around the world.
The mic ships its power supply, 7-pin XLR cable, both a swivel mount and an elastic shockmount, and wooden presentation case, all packed into an aluminum flightcase.

The EF800 is a special quality RF pentode that was designed for RF or IF use. It is pin compatible with the ubiquitous EF80.
The WF logo indicates that the maker was RFT in Berlin in the then East Germany.
